From Poverty to Praise
Melvin is an East Indian, born in poverty during the deep years of Apartheid in South Africa. His mother, a recent convert to Christianity, kept her family fed during those lean times – not by scrounging for food or begging, but through prayer. She would wake her children up at 5am, they would begin to pray, and by 8 o’clock, food would show up. Much like the legendary George Mueller, Melvin had deep ambitions for success which were only further fueled when his older brother, law student and economic hope of the entire family, tragically drowned. Melvin moved to New Zealand and started in the world of sales.
Melvin Pillay is the founding senior pastor of Living Waters Revival Center, which was first planted in Auckland, NZ in 2008. Since then, Pastor Melvin has been led by the Lord to open a campus based out of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Since entering into ministry, Melvin has extensively traveled the globe preaching to tens of thousands.
He has appeared on numerous Christian television networks, and radio stations. He is a Spiritual and Prophetic Advisor to hundreds of high-impact leaders in business and government, and is bestselling author of The power of 8 and several others. Melvin and his wife Michele Grace, have been married 10 years and have a four-legged travel companion named MahaRaja.
For a long time he was an abject failure. His boss secretly allowed him to sleep on the company floor, as long as he was dressed and ready for work before any of the other employees showed up.
A major turning point occurred when Melvin discovered a Zig Ziglar cassette tape in the Auckland library. He rented it with his last two dollars (instead of eating that day) and dug into it with fervor. As he listened to Zig – and as he began to sense the spiritual foundation behind Zig’s message – he made a vow: Someday I will meet that man.
Only seven years later, Melvin found himself at a conference where the VP of Ziglar personally invited Melvin to be one of Ziglar’s hand-selected trainers. Today Melvin is one of only eight such Platinum Zig Ziglar Speaker / Trainers.
Melvin ties together three powerful streams: His Eastern culture and lineage, which uniquely honored his spiritual perceptions even before he met Christ; the Christian upbringing which he received from his mother, from Bible school and professional ministry; and the Zig Ziglar business culture which empowers him to cross many lines and move among many kinds of people.
Today Melvin is not only a keynote speaker, but a spiritual and prophetic advisor to hundreds of business leaders and owners and now by the leading of the Holy Spirit, has opened Living Waters Revival Center - Frisco Campus.

Michele Grace is an itinerant minister, and the Director of Grace Outreach; a Christian humanitarian organization, and the missions arm of Living Waters.
Michele was powerfully called into ministry at a very young age. When she was just two years of age Katherine Kuhlman laid hands on her, and imparted into her life. Michele got saved at the early age of five, and committed her life to serve the Lord. From a very young age, Michele Grace had a heart for the lost, and the less-fortunate.
Michele Grace has spent much time in Africa ministering to Aids orphans, widows, and the poor. In addition, she has held women's conferences and preached at churches internationally.
Michele Grace travels worldwide sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to reach beyond the four walls of the church and impact the world globally.
